My Chestnut Reading Tree is one this weekend! A year ago last weekend I was at the February Northern meet up of TBC in Leeds. I had set up my WordPress blog but was struggling with the technology and so hadn’t posted any reviews. But a conversation with the lovely Sandra Foy, who blogs at ReadingWrites gave me the confidence to try again and after a few days working out what was what I pressed that publish button and My Chestnut Reading Tree was born. And very slowly people followed me, which was pretty scary at first as I’m not as articulate as some other reviewers but I hope I make up for it in my enthusiasm for the books I have read and loved! Sadly, the Chestnut tree that I loved and that inspired the title of my blog is no longer there (chopped down by new neighbours!) but I am still here and excited about what my second year in the blogosphere will bring.
So I just want to say THANK YOU to all the readers, reviewers, bloggers, publicists and authors who have taken the time to support me and my little Chestnut Reading Tree in its first year. And I have put together a little competition to thank one of my fabulous supporters. I hope you will forgive me that it is a little self indulgent!
Competition time!
For your chance to win the following….
A copy of the book that has had the most views on my blog in its first year The Good Enough Mother by Anoushka Beazley.
A copy of the book that fulfilled my ambition of being able to buy a book that I’m quoted in at my local Tesco Before I Let You In by Jenny Blackhurst.
A copy of Lying in Wait by Liz Nugent where I have rather sneakily managed to get two quotes in (shhh don’t tell!)
A Paperchase notebook
A book themed surprise!
