My Top 20 books of 2018

This is my third year of doing my top 20 reads of the year and it never gets any easier! Once again I have read over 200 books this year but failed miserably to make it to my planned 300. My new job took away lots of reading time but I’ve had such an enjoyable time at work that I can’t complain!

And now here are my favourite books of the year, in no particular order, with my book of the year at the end of the post. Just click on the book cover to read my review!

Silent Victim by Caroline Mitchell

Home by Amanda Berriman

Don’t Make A Sound by David Jackson

Where The Missing Go by Emma Rowley

The Runaway Wife by Dee Macdonald

The Old You by Louise Voss

Beguiled By The Forbidden Knight by Elizabeth Hobbs

Mad by Chloe Esposito

Jar of Hearts by Jennifer Hillier

The Puppet Show by M.W. Craven

The Other Woman by Sandie Jones

The Lost Daughter by Gill Paul

The Rumour by Lesley Kara

You can catch my review of The Rumour as part of the blog tour tomorrow.

Little by Edward Carey

The Lion Tamer Who Lost by Louise Beech

The Dream Wife by Louisa De Lange

The Stepsister by Jenny O’Brien

A Place To Lie by Rebecca Griffiths

If I Die Before I Wake by Emily Koch

The Girl in the Corner by Amanda Prowse

And that brings me nicely onto my favourite book of 2018 which is……..

Someone Like Me by M.R. Carey

My absolute favourite book of the year!

And that’s it! All that’s left for me to do is to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year. I’ve got a couple more blog tour reviews over the next two days but then I’m going to switch off, enjoy Christmas and do absolutely loads of reading.

I am a Norfolk girl living in leafy Cheshire with my grumpy Scotsman. A mum and nana who lives for my family but who is also addicted to reading (and Marmite!) I will read almost anything but my preferred genres to review are psychological thrillers, crime procedural novels or women's fiction. My kindle is my life but I also have a substantial bookshelf in my cosy reading room where I can go to escape the stresses of family life with plenty of tea and chocolate. I am a member of netgalley and bookbridg. I review on Amazon, where I'm a Top 500 reviewer, and Goodreads. You can always find me over on Twitter @jocatrobertson for any review requests.

  2. Looking at your list and realize I have read none of them, but 2019 is just around the corner. Many of them look amazing, and I will be looking to read them. Considering your taste in reading, you might want to check out The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen. ~nan
