Mine by Casey Kelleher #publicationdayreview @CaseyKelleher

What’s this book about?

Rebecca Dawson lives a life that many women want – married to wealthy, handsome businessman Jamie and new mum to beautiful daughter, Ella, she thinks nothing can burst her bubble. Until a series of sinister events leaves Rebecca convinced that she is being stalked. While her only priority is keeping Ella safe, Rebecca knows that this might be more than coincidence, and fears that her past is back to haunt her. Because somebody knows what she did. They are watching her, tormenting her and soon they are going to make her pay.

While she hides her past, Rebecca finds herself unable to trust anyone, not even her husband, Jamie. Because Jamie is keeping secrets too. Is Jamie gas-lighting Rebecca into thinking she is going mad, in a bid to cover up his own sordid lies? Or is someone more sinister seeking their revenge?

What did I think?

Wow! What a twisty and addictive journey Casey Kelleher took me on in her first psychological thriller Mine! I have loved her previous books so knew that I had to read Mine especially now that Casey has gone over to the dark side…and this is about as dark as you can go! I was completely exhausted after the emotional rollercoaster she took me on as I tried to uncover the secrets that Rebecca and Jamie seemed to be hiding. This is one of those books where you will trust no one and whenever you think you know exactly where it’s going, it throws another curveball that knocks you off your feet.

I think Casey Kelleher needs to write more novels like this, that shock and surprise the reader. Her characters are slowly revealed with an underlying depth that develops as intriguingly as the plot itself. I gasped out loud at some points unable to believe what I was reading and I found it absolutely impossible to put down! A recommended read for psychological thriller fans!

I will read almost anything but my preferred genres to review are psychological thrillers, crime procedural novels or women's fiction. My kindle is my life but I also have a substantial bookshelf in my cosy reading room where I can go to escape the stresses of family life with plenty of tea and chocolate. I am a member of netgalley and bookbridg. I review on Amazon, where I'm a Top 500 reviewer, and Goodreads. You can always find me over on Twitter @jocatrobertson for any review requests.
