Love at the Little Wedding Shop by the Sea by Jane Linfoot @rararesources

Today I’m delighted to be sharing my review as part of the blog tour for Love at the Little Wedding Shop by the Sea by Jane Linfoot. Huge thanks to Rachel Gilbey for inviting me onto the tour and sending me a review copy of the book.

St Aidan: a cosy Cornish village where friendships are made for life and it’s always cocktail hour somewhere…

‘A pure delight’ Debbie Johnson

Return to your favourite little wedding shop by the sea for love, laughter and a romance to sweep you off your feet!

It’s the most romantic day of the year but the girls aren’t just gearing up for Valentine’s Day and a busy wedding season ahead, it’s also the 10 year anniversary of their beloved shop!

Jess is planning the party of the decade and with the champagne and cocktails flowing, sparks are going to fly…and not just from the fireworks display!

This is such a fun series and I’m so happy that it’s still going strong after 5 books! I’ve read them all so far and this book follows the same hilarious (but often deeply sad) antics of a group of friends in St Aiden who are all involved in the wedding business somehow. If you’re after romance then this is definitely the series for you and I’ve enjoyed watching the women achieve their own “happy ever after” so was keen to see if new girl Milla would be able to put her very sad past behind her and find true love…

To begin with I wasn’t actually sure if I took to Milla as she arrived in St Aiden with her bright pink van! There was certainly a rather frantic start to Love at the Little Wedding Shop by the Sea culminating in a St Valentines Day event. Milla has already had an encounter with an attractive man at the Quay where he kept his boat but when he also appears at the event, he becomes much more important to Milla as she becomes the client that she really needs to impress! But as they spend time together planning a perfect wedding, it become obvious that there is a spark between them that there possibly shouldn’t be between a wedding organiser and her client!

I found myself hoping for so much more for Milla that the deal she appeared to be getting here as she had suffered so much heartache in the past. Her backstory went a long way in explaining her response to a possible new and important relationship in her life but not the never ending disasters that seemed to follow her! I loved how her story developed and there were a few times I got quite weepy especially when there was a rather surprising moment during a wedding!

Love at The Little Wedding Shop by the Sea was a lovely read and a welcome return to a group of friends who really are there for each other through some very challenging times. Poppy has always been a favourite of mine (possibly due to my love of cake!!) and it was great to have her involved throughout this journey for Milla. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of my trip to St Aidens and only wish I could visit for real!

I write fun, flirty fiction, with feisty heroines, and lots of heart.
Writing is fab, because I get to wear pretty shoes instead of wellies. I live in a cottage up a mountain road in Derbyshire, where my family and pets are kind enough to ignore the domestic chaos. Happily, we’re in walking distance of a supermarket. I love hearts, flowers, happy endings, all things vintage, most things french. When I’m not on facebook, and can’t find an excuse for shopping, I’ll be walking, or gardening. On days when I want to be really scared, I ride a tandem.
