Someone’s Listening by Seraphina Nova Glass @TitanBooks @SeraphinaNova

I’m delighted to be closing down the blog tour today for Someone’s Listening by Seraphina Nova Glass. Many thanks to Sarah Mather at Titan Books for the blog tour invite and review copy of the book.

Faith Finley has it all: the flourishing career, the perfect husband, until the night everything goes horribly wrong. Her husband Liam is missing and suspicion falls on Faith. And then the notes begin to arrive: “Lock your windows”, “Invest in a steel door”.

As the threats escalate, the mystery behind Liam’s disappearance intensifies. And Faith’s very life will depend on finding answers…

Someone’s Listening is a gripping and compulsive thriller with a unique feel and it absolutely blew my socks off! For a debut author, Seraphina Nova Glass certainly managed to keep me on the edge of my seat as she introduced a cast of strangely likeable characters even though I was suspicious of each and every one of them! I love a book that keeps me guessing and the constant twists and turns of the plot meant that I had no idea who was behind the horrific persecution of Faith until it was finally revealed.

Faith Finley is a therapist who has enjoyed success with a radio show and bestselling book that run alongside her practice. After an evening out with her husband Liam, they have a car accident but when Faith comes round in hospital, she is told she was the only one in the car. What has happened to Liam and why is Faith being tormented in her own home by an unknown persecutor? The answer lies in the most unexpected of places and-OMG-we certainly go through some very shocking moments to get there!

Someone’s Listening is a fabulous read-compelling and completely unputdownable! I was intrigued by every perfectly portrayed character who came into contact with Faith and really did struggle to come up with a reason as to how Liam disappeared and why Faith couldn’t remember exactly what happened the night of the crash. She wasn’t always a particularly likeable character and she did have some very dubious methods of investigation but her backstory did a great job of explaining why plus her interactions with friends and family also built upon that. The last few pages were full of fast paced thrills as an earth shattering twist came into play that lead to a beautifully crafted and satisfying ending.

If you want an engrossing psychological thriller full of intricate twists and turns then definitely give Someone’s Listening a go. I thoroughly enjoyed every single page of it!

I am a Norfolk girl living in leafy Cheshire with my grumpy Scotsman. A mum and nana who lives for my family but who is also addicted to reading (and Marmite!) I will read almost anything but my preferred genres to review are psychological thrillers, crime procedural novels or women's fiction. My kindle is my life but I also have a substantial bookshelf in my cosy reading room where I can go to escape the stresses of family life with plenty of tea and chocolate. I am a member of netgalley and bookbridg. I review on Amazon, where I'm a Top 500 reviewer, and Goodreads. You can always find me over on Twitter @jocatrobertson for any review requests.
