Do No Harm by Jack Jordan @RandomTTours

MY CHILD HAS BEEN TAKEN.
AND I’VE BEEN GIVEN A CHOICE . . .
KILL A PATIENT ON THE OPERATING TABLE
OR LOSE MY SON FOREVER.

The man lies on the table in front of me.
As a surgeon, it’s my job to save him.
As a mother, I know I must kill him.
You might think that I’m a monster.
But there really is only one choice.
I must get away with murder.
Or I will never see my son again.

I’VE SAVED MANY LIVES.
WOULD YOU TRUST ME WITH YOURS?

DON’T MISS THE HEART-STOPPING THRILLER OF 2022
#DONOHARM

I’ve been a Jack Jordan fan since his very first book and I’m absolutely thrilled that Do No Harm has brought a new legion of fans to his work as he is a hugely talented author who deserves lots of attention! So make sure you check out Jacks back catalogue if you enjoyed Do No Harm-I promise you won’t be disappointed…

In Do No Harm we get to meet Anna-mum to Zach, soon to be ex-wife of Adam and a well respected and much sort after surgeon. She’s about to undertake one of the most important surgeries of her career but when she returns home one night she discovers her son and his babysitter (her neighbour) missing and her home overtaken by strange men installing cameras in every room. And then they deliver their ultimatum-the patient she’s about to operate on must die on the operating table or her son will die…

I loved everything about Do No Harm. Not only was it a fast paced thriller, it managed to deliver three very different women characters all of whom played an important part in the storyline. Apart from Anna, there was Margot (another hospital employee who sees her chance to make some extra cash from Anna’s misfortune) and Rachel, the police officer who ends up investigating Zach’s disappearance even though she is struggling with her own personal circumstances. All of these women had very different lives but they were all fascinating, well developed and interesting women that I wanted to know more about.

There were plenty of twists to keep the reader on there toes throughout Do No Harm so I was never quite sure which way the plot was going to turn next! And I loved all the moral dilemmas that were set along the way too! What would YOU do to protect your family? What would you do to protect YOURSELF? Jack Jordan took all my preconceived ideas about what my own decisions would be and spun them around so fast I had no idea exactly what path I would take! So I just buckled myself in for the bumpy ride ahead and wished Anna the best of luck! And what a shocking journey it was!

This was definitely one of my most anticipated reads of 2022 and I’m so pleased that it not only lived up to those expectations but exceeded them. I know for a fact this will end up appearing on many of the Best Books of 2022 list later on this year and it will be thoroughly well deserved.

Do No Harm is published by Simon and Schuster UK on 26th May 2022. Many thanks to Anne Cater and Jack Jordan for my invite onto the blog tour.

I am a Norfolk girl living in leafy Cheshire with my grumpy Scotsman. A mum and nana who lives for my family but who is also addicted to reading (and Marmite!) I will read almost anything but my preferred genres to review are psychological thrillers, crime procedural novels or women's fiction. My kindle is my life but I also have a substantial bookshelf in my cosy reading room where I can go to escape the stresses of family life with plenty of tea and chocolate. I am a member of netgalley and bookbridg. I review on Amazon, where I'm a Top 500 reviewer, and Goodreads. You can always find me over on Twitter @jocatrobertson for any review requests.
